The River City JWC was created in response to the need for a service-centered club for young women seeking community involvement and connections with other women. Organized in November 2014 and chartered February 7, 2015, the River City JWC is committed to providing a club focused on community service, friendship and fun.
Our club is made up of women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. Most of our members reside in Henrico, Ashland, Richmond, and Goochland. Please join us in making a positive difference in our community!
River City JWC is proud to be a member of the General Federation of Woman's Clubs (GFWC) and the Lee District of the GFWC Virginia. GFWC is one of the world's largest and oldest women's volunteer organizations. It was founded in 1890 and now has over 100,000 members in every state and nearly 4,000 clubs in various countries. The Lee District was formed in 1925 and is the second largest of the eight districts in GFWC Virginia. Stretching from Fluvanna County to the Chesapeake Bay, it is comprised of more than 1,355 members.
